GamesAid 2013 – Charity voting now open!
2nd Sept 2013. London, UK. UK videogames industry based charity GamesAid is calling for its members to vote for the charities they would like to receive financial support in the next round of funding.
If you are a GamesAid member and would like to vote for your chosen charity right now, please login and make your selection in the Members area.
Following on from the nomination process, six charities that fitted the GamesAid criteria of smaller UK registered charities, with a focus on children and young adults, a turnover of £5m or less and running costs of no more than 30% have now been selected.
Opening today and closing at 23.59.59 on Saturday 14th Sept , GamesAid members are invited to vote for the charity that they feel would be appropriate for financial support from GamesAid in 2013.
Funds are raised in many ways by members of the videogames industry and membership to GamesAid is open to anyone working within the industry, at any level and in any area. Once a games industry person has signed up for membership they can then vote and become part of the democratic process which decides to whom funds are directed.
The charities that were nominated and fit the criteria for 2013 voting are:-
- Action For Kids
- MAPS. (Mentoring & Peer Services)
- Special Effect
Full details about the amazing work these charities do is available in the Members Voting Area.
