GamesAid Operations Executive (6 month contract)
March/April 2017 – October 2017; Location – London

GamesAid is a UK based video games charity that acts as an umbrella to support a number of smaller charities who help disadvantaged and disabled children and young people. The money raised each year is split between charities voted for by members of the games industry and may go towards helping provide new equipment to help disabled children play their favourite games or provide temporary accommodation for homeless young people.

GamesAid are looking for their next operations executive to help manage and organise the charity. We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic individual who can work alone and as part of a team in order to achieve goals.


  • Be the main point of contact of GamesAid for charities, fundraisers and sponsors interested in supporting GamesAid.
  • Manage the social media channels of GamesAid, including writing the weekly newsletter.
  • Write media alerts and press releases to raise awareness of GamesAid’s activities
  • Help with the organisation of GamesAid events and take the lead when possible to ensure all events achieve their maximum fundraising potential.
  • Co-ordinate information sharing and administrative tasks for the successful running of the charity (eg. organising trustee meetings, taking minutes, following up on agreed actions)
  • Maintain regular contact with the charities that GamesAid supports, providing them with information regarding fundraising activities, industry events and the annual voting process.


  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working alone and as part of a team to make things happen
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Confident and enjoy using social media
  • Experience of writing press releases and media alerts would be a positive
  • Photoshop skills would be desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of digital marketplaces (Steam, etc) desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge and passion for the games industry a plus
