Brave cyclists take on the Gamescom to Brighton bike ride for GamesAid!
On the weekend of August 20th-22nd, several brave souls will be tackling the 5th Gamescom to Brighton Bike Ride in support of GamesAid!
Launching themselves into the ride as soon as Gamescom comes to a close, the troop will set off from Cologne at 5am on , passing through the Dutch and Belgian borders before riding through France to the finish line.
The riders will have to reach distances of almost 110 miles daily for 3 days solid, the distances are about as tough as the most challenging routes encountered in Le Tour De France.
Along the way, the kind folks over at Hi-Rez will be lending a collective hand to support the cyclists by driving a sponsored van that will provide aid along the way. Considering Hi-Rez have helped raise $830,000 for good causes over the last 4 years through gaming, we’d say they’re in very good hands!
The plucky peddlers riding their away across Europe include:
- Cat Channon, (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)
- James Binns, (PCGamesN)
- Tracey McGarrigan, (CEO & Founder, Ansible PR & Communications LTD)
- Tony Solon, (Keymailer)
- Alex Cook, (Senior Manager, Business Development, GAME)
