Cat Channon triumphs in gruelling Gibraltar-Africa swim

GamesAid trustee Cat Channon has bravely conquered the 18km distance between Europe and Africa, completing her epic fund-raising swim from Gibraltar to Morocco on Wednesday 10th September, raising over £3000 for GamesAid causes and cementing her place as GamesAid’s very own go-to super woman.

This epic swim has been completed by less than 500 people, as those who attempt it can be harried by obstacles such as exhaustion, cramps, sickness, hypothermia and of course the marine wildlife. Well done for dodging those sharks and jellyfish Cat!

Cat described it as one of the most difficult and challenging things she’s ever done (and she’s done quite a few), so once again congrats on both an epic journey and a splendid fundraising effort from the GamesAid team.

Having previously attempted the swim and failing due to an over ambitious schedule combined with a bout of food poisoning this epic swim is testament to her determination and hard work. Cat’s efforts have raised over £3000 for GamesAid and we couldn’t be more grateful,  so thank you Cat!

There’s still time to pledge a bit of cash, so if you’d like to contribute to the cause, head on over to Cat’s Just Giving Page here.

That’s Cat done, now, Who’s next?
